OK, I know I said that my July blog post would be the final message from salesSHIFT. I guess I fibbed as I feel compelled to share one more … Because I know it will help many of you get re-motivated during these unprecedented times.

Last month I was invited to participate in an Armchair Conversation with SITE* (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) president, Jenn Glynn to talk about moving forward in 2020/2021.

While the conversation was directed to Meeting and Incentive industry professionals (many of whom have seen their revenues decimated by the impact of COVID on face-to-face gatherings and travel), I am sharing this podcast with a wider audience because the message is relevant to sales teams across industries.

During the conversation, I talk about the importance of focusing your activity in context of three distinct markets if you seek to drive revenue, expand relationships and maintain positive momentum – today and tomorrow. The dialogue shines a light on “how to” communicate with empathy and relevance appropriate to the times, so that you are welcomed not shunned. And how now, more than ever, your willingness to get out of your own head and into the head of traditional and non-traditional buyers will define your success when others fail.

Take a listen and choose the one new action that will re-energize your sales effort as we close out 2020.

For those of you who find this Armchair Conversation valuable, and would appreciate additional support in executing the recommended strategies, here are a couple of ways to dive deeper into the specifics:

1. I continue to offer virtual coaching and mentoring tailored to individuals and sales teams for the balance of 2020. If you would like to schedule a “no obligation” conversation to better understand if, and how, this would be a valuable investment for you, please contact me today.

2. Pick up your personal copy (hardcover or e-book) of UNCOMMON SENSE: Shift Your Thinking. Take New Action. Boost Your Sales. As relevant to our current business environment as when published in 2017, UNCOMMON SENSE outlines “how to” identify your markets, “how to” communicate to fully engage buyers within these markets and “how to” position you as the obvious choice regardless of market conditions.

Stay safe and sell smart!
Jill
